About Staci Coberly, Dental Hygienist and Founder
Staci is a farm and ranch girl from western Kansas. Her family works in health care, and she's known since early adulthood that she wanted to be involved in health care in some facet. She's been in dentistry for 20 years, practicing in Colorado.
Staci moved to Salida from Belize, where she was in private practice and public health volunteering. She also volunteered in Honduras for four years. The idea for Peak to Peak Mobile Dental Hygiene came from experiences traveling to rural areas in Central America—and in the US—and seeing that people don’t have ready access to health care or dental care. Staci realized the need for a mobile unit and that making dental health easy to access allows Peak to Peak Mobile Dental Hygiene to treat more people beyond the Peak to Peak Dental Hygiene, PC office in Salida, Colorado.
Staci's service in Belize and Honduras has made her appreciate how fortunate we are with the kind of care we receive in the United States, even in areas where it’s not as accessible. Traveling around the rural mountain West, she sees that we don’t need to leave home to help people in need of dental health services – they are right here.
Colorado and these mountains have always been home to Staci, even though she has traveled and lived in other places that were also beautiful. Staci enjoys being outdoors, hiking, horseback riding, and being on the river.
About the Mobile Dental Hygiene Rig
The Peak to Peak mobile clinic is a 2011 Chevy ambulance that was refurbished for overlanding and sold to Staci by a retiring dentist who shares her vision for supporting community oral health and dental hygiene.
The ambulance has a large clinical area. The ceilings are 6 feet tall. Staci's worked hard with the help of local contractors to preserve and create a warm, inviting feel to the spacious interior while having all the dental technology she needs. The interior is designed to feel light and welcoming, so it doesn’t have a cold, clinical feel. The ambulance is as easily accessible as stepping into a camper. Staci is excited to have it parked in scenic spots around the region, creating a relaxing environment externally as much as internally. Staci is thrilled with the branding wrap on the mobile clinic done by Jessie Castanada.
About Our Salida Dental Hygiene Office
Now offering in-office dental hygiene appointments at our Salida office! Our team has grown from Staci to include more dental hygienists to help serve our community. We look forward to meeting you at our 2nd Street location in Downtown Salida someday soon.
